The Good Eating Company was thrilled to partner recently with Gifty Enright to support Beyond International Women's Day 2026: The Arc of a Woman's Journey in the Workplace, an invite-only leadership event, which was held at the GSK HQ in London.

The evening set out to go beyond simply marking International Women’s Day as a moment in the calendar. The evening sought to continue the broader, ongoing conversation around women in the workplace.

The event explored what organisations ned to change to be able to create environments where women can genuinely thrive, with support that reflects the full span of their careers.

The evening invited senior leaders, academics, founders, and changemakers to explore the full journey women experience and highlighted key areas in the workplace. Those included themes such as ambition and opportunity, leadership, visibility, resilience, and long-term impact.

The programme created space for honest, unfiltered dialogue, moving well beyond surface-level discussion into the structural and cultural shifts that workplaces genuinely need to make. Throughout the evening, from the keynote speeches, high-level panel discussions, and fireside conversations, the evening proved to be a space for networking as well.

Crafting exceptional workplace food experiences

Working with Chef Director Russell Watt and in-house nutritionist Martina Giammaria (RNutr), we developed a menu to keep guests nourished, focused, and energised.

Our offering featured:

  • Iron- and fibre-rich ingredients to sustain energy and focus throughout the evening
  • Omega-3-rich salmon dishes, designed to boost cognitive performance
  • Creative inspiration drawn from influential female chefs in the UK food industry
  • Ingredients sourced from female-founded producers whenever possible

The evening in focus

The programme featured a keynote from workplace wellbeing expert Gifty Enright, a leadership panel moderated by Sally Bundock, and a fireside conversation with Amy Golding.

Alongside voices from across business, academia, and industry, including Victoria Williams, Alpesh Patel OBE, Dr Cansin Arslan, Daisy Hung, and Jon McKnight, the event explored what structural and cultural change looks like in practice, at every stage of a woman's career.

Collective approach to workplace transformation

The evening was brought to life through collaboration with a number of partners committed to leadership, inclusion, and workplace transformation, including Sodexo, alongside organisations from across education, leadership development, innovation, and workplace culture.

Food, space, and real conversation

What stood out across the event was a genuine appetite for something more meaningful than the usual corporate discussion. Conversations were open, reflective, and honest, exploring not just what women experience at work but what organisations can actively do to create more equitable environments.

It was also a reminder that given the right space and the right conditions, conversations can shift from being performative to being more purposeful. That’s where change begins.

A huge thank you to the GEC team, whose hard work made the evening such a success. We are incredibly proud to have played a part in shaping the conversation around the future of workplaces.
