Breakfast worth getting up for the GEC way

A good start to the day begins with breakfast. And when it comes to breakfast, there’s something to be said about keeping things simple. Fresh eggs, ripe avocado and plenty of flavour.
Breakfast is more than just the first meal; it’s an opportunity to set the tone for what comes next in the day. From a busy morning of meetings, or simply a chance to slow down.
At GEC we love working with suppliers who care as much about quality as we do. St. Ewe Free Range Eggs is one of those suppliers, and their eggs feature across our menus in some of our favourite dishes.
A simple breakfast, done well
Take our perfectly poached St. Ewe egg, served with creamy avocado over warm sourdough and finished with a little salt and pepper. There’s nothing complicated, but then again that’s the point.
Good ingredients don’t need to be overworked. A beautifully cooked egg, quality bread and fresh produce can make for a breakfast that feels both nourishing and genuinely satisfying.
And that same attention to ingredients carries through the day.
From breakfast to lunch
Our menus are designed to keep people well fed throughout the working day, with dishes that are healthy and full of flavour.
One example is our GEC Chicken Club. Brined chicken breast is grilled for colour, streaky bacon is rendered until crisp, and an indulgent herb egg mayo is made in-house using St. Ewe free-range eggs, home-grown basil, lemon balm and dill.
These deep-layered sandwiches are a staple across our menus. They're generously packed, fuelling the afternoon ahead.
Good food starts with good suppliers
At GEC it’s about knowing where our ingredients come from and building relationships with suppliers who share our approach to quality, care and responsible food production.
From the first coffee and poached egg of the morning to a generously filled sandwich at lunchtime, the ingredients are the real stars that make the difference.
