Christmas Peek

As the festive season approaches, our chefs at the Good Eating Company are busy creating delicious seasonal dishes designed to be bold, vibrant, and inclusive. From indulgent classics like slow-braised beef shin ragù with silky rigatoni and burrata with heritage tomato panzanella, to playful desserts such as peanut butter and fragola jelly ice cream sandwiches and whipped mascarpone with red wine–poached pear, each dish is crafted with a touch of Christmas magic.

It is our favourite time of the year, when the innovative culinary skills of our chefs come to the fore and we get to bring festive flavours to our workplace restaurants.

A highlight of the season for many is the simple joy of sharing cheese. There’s something special about those lingering “just one more slice” moments that define December gatherings. This year, we’re bringing that same sense of indulgence to our festive menus, with a carefully curated selection from Paxton & Whitfield, Britain’s oldest cheesemonger.

Known for championing artisan British producers and their dedication to provenance and thoughtful maturation, they bring depth and heritage to our Christmas offering. Expect creamy, mellow Yorkshire Blue; the silky richness of Suffolk’s Baron Bigod; and the savoury, nutty profile of Lincolnshire Poacher.

For those who enjoy discovering new flavour pairings, we invite our guests to try these cheeses with a cup of coffee. The bitterness of the coffee can enhance their richness, creating a beautifully balanced and delicious combination.

Beyond the festive favourites, this season also offers the opportunity for us as a team to appreciate and shine a light on the people who bring our food to life. Among them is Taylor, one of our brilliant pastry chefs. For Taylor, pastry is about pure joy and a place where nostalgia and playfulness come together.

Her peanut butter and fragola jelly ice cream sandwich is a grown-up twist on a childhood classic. It sits alongside her much-loved tiramisu and other sweet moments designed to make guests pause and savour the season.

Our chef Giacomo has also played a key role in shaping our festive office offerings. Drawing on his Italian culinary roots, he has been working with the season’s finest ingredients to create dishes that bring warmth to winter dining.

Think slow-braised beef shin ragù enveloping silky rigatoni, or burrata paired with heritage tomato panzanella and a sweet drizzle of balsamic glaze. And for something indulgent to finish, his whipped mascarpone served with red wine–poached pear, candied pecans, and caramelised orange.

It’s a dessert that captures sophistication and festive charm all in one.

With the countdown to Christmas now well underway, our teams are preparing to make every workplace celebration unforgettable. From canapés and cheese boards to comforting classics that bring people together, each dish is crafted with care and a genuine love of good food.

For our team, the magic of the season is not just in the menus we create for our guests, but it’s also in the hands of the chefs who make them. Their skill and passion shape every dish. We’re proud to share a glimpse into their world and excited for our guests to enjoy the flavours they bring to life.
